Mary Mac's Tea Room "Atlanta's Dining Room" has been serving authentic made-from-scratch Southern fare served with a side of true Southern hospitality since 1945. In the WWII era enterprising women, some widowed by the war, were opening restaurants all over Atlanta. The name "Tea Room" was thought to be more lady like and differentiated them from the more masculine term, restaurant. At that time there were many Tea Rooms around Atlanta, today we are the only one remaining. In 2011, Mary Mac's was honored at the Georgia State Capitol with a Special Resolution officially naming us "Atlanta's Dining Room". Also in 2011, Mary Mac's was featured in an episode of "The Original's" hosted by legendary chef Emeril Lagasse appearing on the Cooking Channel. Mary Mac's is located in Midtown Atlanta, 2 blocks for the famous Fox Theatre. Mary Mac's Tea Room 224 Ponce de Leon Ave, NE Atlanta GA 30308 Phone: 404-876-1800 www.marymacs.com
